I signed up for both Twitter and Plurk. For some reason neither one was able to find friends through my email. It worked for the other stuff I signed up for but Plurk said there was a problem trying to access my account and Twitter showed a message that could have meant it couldn't access my account or there were no people on Twitter in there, it was vague.
Doesn't really matter anyway. I don't see myself using this. Facebook does basically the same thing and there is no way I'm going to log in to all these different things to keep them updated. I am glad I'm checking them all out to see what I'll like and dislike.
I could see this being useful to keep people updated, especially since you can do it from your phone. I'll definitely keep this in mind in case I have a need for it in the future.
