I joined Flickr a while ago for a class but never updated it. I have spent a lot of time looking at others' photos on the site though. I've been meaning to make use of all this sharing ability to get my photos out there. That was part of my motivation for doing 16 Things. Now I'll have it all set up, I just need to keep it updated. I also signed up for PicasaWeb. Smugmug was not free.
I uploaded some of my portfolio photos and tagged the strawberry with "16 Things." I think Flickr is great for the classroom. Some teachers at Ai have tried to implement it but it doesn't always stick, see my original account. It's also great for sharing pics with friends and family. As for having my photos public, it's good for me because I'll put my professional quality work out there and hope it gets noticed.
